For mixed-velocity catalogues

Your catalogue has a shape. Your reorder rules should come from it.

A few products sell every day, most sell now and then, and a long tail barely moves. Voorcast finds where those bands start and end in your data — so a slow mover is not called dead, and a fast mover is not left to run out.

What changes

Built for catalogues that are fast and slow at once

Every speed in one catalogue

Daily sellers, occasional sellers and the long tail sit side by side. Each is judged against its own part of your catalogue, not against one rule for all of them.

Thresholds from your data

Dead stock, fast movers and reorder timing come from percentiles of your own sales — and are recomputed as your range changes.

Honest about thin history

A product that sells a few times a year has little to forecast from. Voorcast says so, so you know which suggestions to trust.

Nothing to tune

Connect Picqer or Magento and leave it. No best-sellers list to keep, no per-product thresholds to set, no re-tuning each season.

The difference

One rule for every product is wrong at both ends

Set it for your fast movers and the slow ones all look dead. Set it for the slow ones and a stalled best-seller goes unnoticed for months.

Rule-based tools ask you to

  • Pick one dead-stock cutoff that is wrong for half your products
  • Keep a best-sellers list up to date by hand
  • Set a reorder level for every product, then re-set it each season
  • Treat a product that sells monthly the same as one that sells daily
  • Export to a spreadsheet when the tool cannot read your slow movers

Voorcast does this for you

  • Dead stock judged against how each product normally sells
  • Fast movers recomputed continuously from recent sales
  • Reorder timing from forecast, lead time and supplier reliability
  • Seasonality read from your own sales history
  • Thresholds that follow your catalogue as it changes

How it actually works

Percentiles over thresholds

Whether a product is dead, a fast mover or due for a reorder depends on what normal looks like for it. A product that sells once a month and has not sold in six weeks is fine. A product that sells every day and has not sold in six days is not.

Voorcast doesn't ship with a cutoff. It reads the distribution of sales across your own catalogue, sets its thresholds from that, and recomputes them as your range shifts. Where your history is too short to say, it starts from a safe default and moves off it as data arrives.

The same engine runs for a specialty retailer with a long tail and a distributor with hundreds of fast lines. What differs is the data it reads, not the settings anyone has to maintain.

See it on your vertical.

Voorcast was built for catalogues where most SKUs sell intermittently and global thresholds are wrong by construction. If that's your shape, the engine fits.
