Connect Slack

Voorcast can post notifications to Slack: sync problems, products that have run out, purchase orders, and order profitability. There is no key to copy: you approve Voorcast in Slack itself. Slack is part of the Professional plan.

1. Connect your workspace

  1. In Voorcast, open Settings and choose Integrations under Data & Integrations.
  2. On the Slack card, click Configure, then Connect to Slack.

  1. Slack opens and asks you to allow Voorcast into your workspace. Check that the workspace in the top corner is the right one, then click Allow.

  1. Slack sends you back to Voorcast, where the Slack card now shows your workspace as connected.

2. Choose the channels

  1. Open Configure on the Slack card again.
  2. Pick a Default Channel. Notifications without a channel of their own go here.
  3. Under Notification Channels, open a group and choose a channel for each kind of notification you want:
    • Sync & System: a sync finished or failed, and system alerts.
    • Stock & Purchasing: products that have run out, and purchase orders.
    • Orders: order profitability.
  4. Click Save. Then click Test Connection: Voorcast posts "Voorcast is connected" to your default channel.

Good to know

  • Only admins and owners can connect or change an integration.
  • To stop all Slack notifications, click Disconnect in the same dialog.
