The review queue
What it is
Most of your range reorders itself. Some products need a person to decide instead: ones that stopped selling, ones that ran out and weren't reordered, ones down to their last units, and ones whose sell-off has stalled. Voorcast collects them in the Review Queue, grouped by what's at stake:
- Decide before they run out: the stock left won't last until a new delivery could arrive.
- Stock not earning its keep: Voorcast sees signs the product should go. The money tied up is shown at the top of the group.
- Needs your judgment: already out of stock, or the signs point both ways.
Each product shows what Voorcast would do, Engine: buy again, Engine: phase out or Engine: no lean, and why. The decision is yours.
When you'd use it
- As part of your purchasing routine, before you send your drafts.
- When a draft line shows an In Review badge.
- When your Home says decisions are waiting in review.
How to use it
- Click Review in the main menu.
- Open a product from one of the groups.
- Check the stock chart, the reasons and the figures (Stock on hand, Days of cover, Expected next 30 days).
- Choose:
- Buy again adds the product to that supplier's draft. You check and send the draft as usual.
- Phase out stops reordering it so the stock sells down. You can add a gradual price reduction to help it sell, and once the stock reaches zero Voorcast deactivates it in your store.
- Decide later sets it aside for a while. It comes back sooner if it is running low.
- Voorcast moves on to the next product.
Good to know
- Products stay in the queue until you decide. Nothing is dropped for you.
- If Voorcast spots a likely replacement for a product, confirm it with Confirm replacement, or dismiss it with Not a match.
- Only owners and admins can record decisions.
- Buy again isn't available while the supplier is excluded from ordering.
- The queue holds about a week's worth of decisions at a time, so new products appear as you clear old ones.
